My latest drawing:
I’ve added a new Fine Art Print, “Mandala,” to my Etsy shop:
Limited Edition Giclee Print of an original pen & ink drawing.
Remember the owl drawing I did a few weeks back? Well, my wonderful sister (Amira) made it into an iphone case for me!
Today we’re celebrating my parents’ 32nd wedding anniversary- I didn’t make them a card this year, but I thought I’d share some old ones..
I made this pop-up card for their 24th. It was pretty much my first and last stab at paper cutting, which I’d love to do more of, but would need the proper tools and a whole set of skills I don’t yet have.
This next card may have been an anniversary card or for something else- all i know is that it was for my parents, so I guess it fits with this post..
Also mildly related- we’re having a party at our house this evening and we used my postcards as invitations.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
One thing I especially love about printmaking is getting to play with the image during the printing process – even if its something as simple as switching out colors. This is a 3 color photo litho done with Photopolymer plates. The three layers were first hand drawn on mylar then transferred onto the plates in an exposure unit.. Here are just a few of the many variations:
First, the complete 3 color litho in the originally intended colors:

Geekadelphia just posted about HOOT (the literary magazine on postcard). They included an image of the postcard I designed for HOOT’s May issue- check out the post!
And, while going back in time to subscribe to HOOT is worthy of the Tardis (as Geekadelphia implies), you can just get all of their back issues here (their Etsy shop) and subscribe in time to receive July’s issue in the mail! Save the Tardis for something else- like witnessing Socrates drinking his hemlock, meeting Sitting Bull, or jumping to the future to find out what the Singularity is all about.
Thanks everyone for the feedback on my last drawing. I’m still undecided, but it seems the majority of you like option 2, the one with a purple/pink background, so i’m adding that one to my gallery.
Here are a few more black & white drawings for your viewing pleasure:
